The United Arab Emirates, with its official institutions and private sector, is still involved in development efforts in Yemen and mitigating the consequences of the war that has been raging for eight years due to the coup of the terrorist Houthi militia, Iran's arm, against the legitimate state institutions and its attempt to overthrow the country by force of arms.

The signing of the implementation of three strategic projects in Hadhramout in the sectors: electricity, oil and gas, confirms the size of the participation of the UAE private sector and its contribution to supporting development, securing a decent life for the Yemeni people and alleviating the suffering left by the war.

Yesterday. in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, contracts were signed between the Yemeni government, represented by the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Eng. Manea bin Yameen, and Minister of Oil and Minerals, Dr. Saeed Al Shamassi, and specialized Emirati companies for the construction of a gas-fired power station with a generating capacity of 150 megabytes, and the construction of a crude oil refinery with a capacity of 25 thousand barrels per day, reservoirs and a free zone, and the establishment of a domestic gas unit in the Messila area.

The signing of these contracts received wide official and popular praise, as local activists, in conjunction with the signing ceremony, launched a hashtag on social media with the hashtag: (#Emirati_Development_Hadramout), during which they expressed their happiness with the implementation of such projects that will contribute to addressing many crises and developing final solutions after years of patchwork solutions.

Among the most prominent crises that will be addressed by the implementation of these projects is the crisis of domestic gas and fuel with all its derivatives (gasoline, diesel, diesel, and kerosene). It will also contribute to providing hundreds of job opportunities for young people. The refinery, after its completion and start-up, will contribute to the provision of asphalt, which costs the state large sums of money in order to  Imported to complete road projects.

Observers believe that by signing contracts for the implementation of these strategic projects, the UAE is taking the most important step to address the deterioration of the economy and to develop solutions to sustainable crises suffered by the residents of Hadramout and the liberated areas.

While local tweeters indicated that Hadramout, like other liberated southern governorates, has been missing for years strategic projects in the energy, oil and gas sectors, away from emergency and patch projects that they do not benefit from or see any results, explaining that these projects establish through the UAE a new beginning from  Alleviating the suffering of citizens in and outside Hadramout, as the first project will contribute to addressing power outages.  The second deals with the gas crisis for the country as a whole, and the third puts an end to the gasoline crisis.

And they considered the implementation of these giant projects an affirmation of the seriousness of the UAE, and specifically its private sector, in contributing effectively and sincerely to the completion of service and development projects that have benefited the population in various liberated governorates for many years, calling on the government to make optimal use of these projects in achieving development and ending the crises that accompanied its work for many years without defining decisive solutions for it.
