Houthi militias pass list of Anti-Corruption Commission by force to Shura Council

Sources at Shura Council in Sana'a told Newsyemen that the Houthi militias succeeded in passing a list of 30 candidates nominated by the Council, 11 of which will be elected to the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The Houthi militias, through the Political Council controlled by it, forced the acting leader of Shura Council and the leader of the General People's Congress, Mohammed al-Aidarous, to pass the list are chosen by the militias' leadership and the Office of the militias’ leader, Abdulmalik al-Houthi, consisting of 30 people, eleven of them were supposed to return them to the Parliament in order to elect eleven for the Anti-Corruption Commission.

The sources added that this procedure led to differences between the Houthi militias and the leadership of the GPC in Sana'a, which insisted on the need to review the list before being referred to Parliament which was rejected by the militias and insist to send the list as it is.

The selected list about 300 people submitted their files to Shura Council, all belonging to the Houthi militias and loyal to the group. They were chosen by a representative of the militia leader's office. The list was sent to the Acting Speaker of Shura Council Mohammed Al-Aidarous and forced him to accept the list and sign it.
