Houthi crimes .. abduction of 7 children from a wedding in Sana'a

More than 10 days after their disappearance, information circulated among residents among people in residential neighborhood in Sana'a, controlled by the Houthi militias, the Iranian arm in Yemen, revealed the fate of seven children of Maeen district, west of the Capital Sana'a

On Friday, July 26, Mohammed Sarhan, a father of one of those disappeared, managed to know the fate of his child, when he was get assured by a Houthi supervisor, who has a business with the father,  that his 13-year-old child went to study Houthi cultural courses

The Houthi militias took children before pushing them to the fronts, without the knowledge of their relatives, fueling the battles of its authoritarian permanence

According to eyewitnesses in Maeen district, members of Houthi militias managed to lure seven children in al-Sunainah neighborhood when they were present at a wedding party of one of a resident of the neighborhood about 12 days ago

Parents of children, their ages ranging from 9 and 15 years, expected that they would be involved in what the so-called by the Houthi militias summer centers, but they did not receive useful answers during searching for their children in these centers

A number of mothers and their relatives visited Sana'a hospitals and police stations to search for their children. Mohammed Sarhan, the father of one of the kidnapped children, told families who are searching for their children as well that his Houthi friend told him that his son and a group of children are joined Houthi cultural courses

Since its coup in 2014, Houthi militias have repeatedly violated the rights of children by abducting them and forcibly recruiting them then sent them to war fronts

Weekly, the Houthi militias bring them back dead bodies after their participation in the war against the Yemeni people, the Internationally recognized government accused the Houthi militias of recruiting 20,000 child

The Coalition supporting Legitimacy for Yemen, earlier called on the international community to take firm and dissuasive attitudes towards the continuation of the Houthi group in recruiting and enlisting children on the battlefield, in flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and a violation of the Convention on the Protection of the Child
