The Houthis are working to develop techniques of "boat war" in the waters of the Red Sea

Observations and sources have alerted to notable movements recently re-established by Houthi militias in the coastal areas north of Hodeidah in the Red Sea, and testimony reinforcing doubts about the Houthis' development of boat-warfare techniques with the help of foreign, probably Iranian, expertise.

The latest updates of information and monitoring points, point to the multiplication of Houthi militias movements and developments related to the coasts and inland areas facing them on both sides of the extension of the Sham-Haradh line (north).

It warns of a growing reliance on trained personnel to carry out attacks in the water, handling populated or guided boats and carrying out attacks across shores.

In at least one case, the re-adaptation and reconfiguration of boats and the provision of special, technical and accurate additions were carried out in warehouse workshops set up for these purposes, in the interior areas between Bagel and Allahya and concentrated in the Zaidi countryside.

According to a special security source, technical additives are introduced for tracking, monitoring, dimensioning distances in water.

On September 19, Newsyemen reported similar warnings by referring to Houthi movements along the west coast of northern Hodeidah and across the militia-controlled area, including al-Salif, Ras Issa, Allayah and the Midi border.
Early on Friday, September 20, the Saudi-led coalition announced an operation north of the Red Sea city of Hodeidah against "legitimate military targets."

Recently, there are reports that drones are likely to be launched in the sea and at a distance from shipping lines, from private boats, south of Midi.

The Newsyemen reported, at the end of last July, about the public appearance of the Iranians and Lebanese, wandering with the leadership of Houthi security in a fish pier and market in the city of Hodeidah.
