Al-Zubaidi: Directives were issued to return the Aden refinery to work in two phases

A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Chairman of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, confirmed that directives were issued to return the Aden Refinery to work in two phases, the first as a free zone for storing oil derivatives for suppliers, with preparation for the start of refining operations as a second phase.
Al-Zubaidi, during his visit today, to the Aden Refineries Company, and with him the Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Ahmed Lamlas, held a meeting with the management and cadres of the company, and briefed them on part of the outputs of the meeting of the Supreme Committee for Sovereign and Local Resources, and the procedures and decisions that were taken to activate the work of the refineries.
He listened from the company's management to an explanation of the efforts made by the administrative and technical staff to restart the refinery, and the number of difficulties they face in this aspect.
He pointed out that the return of the Aden refineries to work will give a real indication of the rotation of the wheel of development in the capital, Aden, and the south in general, given the great economic weight it represents, and a very important source of revenue.
In turn, the company's management and cadres confirmed that this visit represents a great incentive for them to restore work in the refinery and restore its important role at the level of the capital, Aden, and the country in general.
In another context, Al-Zubaidi inspected the progress of construction work in the 120 megawatt solar power plant provided by the United Arab Emirates to support the generating capacity of the electricity of the capital, Aden.
He looked at the site of the station, which is being built on a total area of 1.6 million square meters, and the efforts to complete the foundation and casting works for the panels and transformer stations, stressing the importance of maintaining this pace, quickly completing the remaining stages, and introducing the station into service to alleviate the suffering of the people of the capital, Aden.
Al-Zubaidi appreciated the efforts of the UAE and its continuous support for the development path in the capital, Aden, and our country in general.
